The caper is a semi-woody bush native to the Mediterranean region. Its edible cocoons are eaten pickled as an appetizer, dressing or ingredient.
Contains saponin, pectin and salts. Low caloric intake, it has nutrients such as fibers, proteins, vitamins A, C, E and K, as well as minerals such as iron, sodium and potassium.
In we offer the large sizes of cocoons, known as Jumbo Capers, pickled in a vinegar and salt solution. Capers are popularly appreciated accompanying pizzas, smoked salmon, salads, tartare sauce, tapenade, vitello tonnato and pasta sauces.
